Patrick McCarthy is the Fab Lab Coordinator at the Museum of Science and Industry, and is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia College Chicago. Focusing on the integration of technology, design, science, and engineering, he has developed hands-on educational programming for children and adults since 1999. As Designer of Alternative Learning Environments at Northwestern University Patrick advocated for a self-guided lab-oriented model to help shape their YouSTEM after school drop-in centers. He now designs Chicago High School teacher PD, helping them teach Computer Science by Making.
