Contents: The aim of the bio-photovoltaic systems is to implement Nature Based Solutions in cities generating at the same time multiple benefits. Bio photovoltaic systems consists in elements that couple plants growing (as food plants) and energy production. Energy is extracted from bacteria living in the rhizosphere of vascular plants applying low cost extraction systems.
The system includes sensors measuring the temperature, moisture, ph, energy production and air pollution. Data collected are visualized through an app.
