Dina El-Zanfaly is a research associate at the MIT Design Lab, formerly known as the Mobile Experience Lab at the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a visiting assistant teaching professor at the College of Arts, Media and Design at Northeastern University. She graduated last June with a PhD in Design and Computation from MIT, where she also earned her Master of Science while being a Fulbright scholar. She is also a co-founder and co-director of Fab Lab Egypt, a social enterprise that focuses on digital fabrication, making and communities. She is a computational design and interaction researcher and community cultivator. She explores and introduces new roles of computational design and physicality in embodied sense-making including human perception, cognition and experience.
