Version 1
Workshop: Biomaterial Printing with Materiom

Jose Tomas Dominguez
Digital fabrication has the potential to drive sustainable human development but many of the materials used in testing, prototyping, and in final products are made of polluting plastics. Natural ecosystems have for eons produced, broken down and reused materials without polluting. Can we create materials for digital fabrication using nature’s intelligence? Materiom thinks so, and invites you to participate in a workshop to test biomaterials with digital fabrication machines, including the laser cutter, CNC mill, and 3D printer. This workshop is a followup to “Making Materials with Materiom” and “Fabrication with Materiom”, and will teach the assistants how to build their own extruder to 3D print biomaterials, this extruder can be assembled in any open 3D printer. This will allow Fab Labs through all around the world use biomaterials in all their digital
