Workshop: Fabman.io - Easy and Safe Fab Lab Management

Managing a Fab Lab is a lot of work. Every lab develops its own practices and many repeat the same mistakes. As a network of Fab Labs it is crucial to learn from each other so that this movement has a lasting effect on society.
We present Fabman.io, a cloud-based tool we developed at Happylab to reduce the work load on lab managers and increase safety. Fabman is the Operating System of a Fab Lab and lets you integrate machines and different tools with its open hardware platform and API. Furthermore we want to share know-how and exchange best practices of running a Fab Lab, with our experience of running Happylab for more than 13 years in Vienna, Berlin and Salzburg.
