Workshop: Public Artefact, A Fab City Strategy
Minh Man Nguyen, Adrien Rigobello
Fab City Grand Paris is proposing a workshop with the goal of fostering the structuring of ecosystems around technical objects in participants’ origin cities.
How can design express our multi-layered society? How can it facilitate through creating new connections, spaces and things?
Fab City Grand Paris is proposing a workshop with the goal of fostering the structuring of ecosystems around technical objects in participants’ origin cities. The participants are designing an artefact anchored within their cityscape and a strategy for collaboration and deployment. The artefacts form a common language between the cities. The specificity of each city network, and expertise of the participants, are generating a panel of morphologies for the artefact in becoming. How to engage, or even collaborate with it? Because it speaks of local politics, the object is a reflection of the social topography. The participants will be agents of change within their cityscapes. The whole workshop is designed as an initiator of this systemic thought.
